Ways to Become a Member

How to Become a Member

A person may become a member of Israel Baptist Church in one of the following ways:

  • Baptism: By professing your faith in Jesus Christ and being baptized by water, you publicly declare your commitment to follow Him. Through baptism, you become a full member of our church family, embracing the teachings of Christ and joining us in fellowship.
  • Christian Experience: If you have previously accepted Jesus Christ as your Savior and have been baptized in another Christian church, you can join Israel Baptist Church based on your Christian experience. This acknowledges your existing faith journey and welcomes you into our congregation without the need for re-baptism.
  • Restoration: Former members who wish to renew their fellowship with Israel Baptist Church can rejoin through restoration. This process reaffirms your commitment to our church community and restores your membership status, allowing you to reconnect and continue your spiritual growth with us.
  • Letter: You may become a member by presenting a letter of transfer or recommendation from your previous church. This letter confirms your prior membership and good standing, allowing for a seamless transition into our church family while honoring your faith journey.
  • Watch Care: If you're temporarily residing in the area or attending school and wish to maintain your membership with your home church, you can join us under Watch Care. This status allows you to participate fully in our worship services and ministries during your time here, providing spiritual support and fellowship while you're away from your home congregation.
